Random Things of Note

  • Free day at the zoo was interesting. Notable events: a man jumping off a moving train, a woman giving birth at the zoo, skunks walking around in public areas.
  • "Microhoo"?  Sounds like slang to me.  :D
  • I looked at my Google Calendar yesterday and saw that I had absolutely nothing going on this week.  First time since I moved, I think.  That's since changed. :D  It was weird trying to figure out what to do last night though.
  • I'm starting to think that a philosophy course wouldn't be as uninteresting to me as originally thought, considering the amount of time I was browsing that section at Borders last night.  Though I can't say it's modern mainstream religions that hold my interest.  Mostly phlisophical alchemy, gnosticism, and Taoism (well, I guess the last is still considered modern/mainstream, eh?)

My New Neighbors

I was walking through my patio door when I noticed a large mess on the ground in front of it.  Looking up, what do I find?

Baby birds! There’s about 4 of them that I saw.  Not looking forward to seeing them crash land in front of my apartment though. ;___; Hopefully they’ll fare well.

[Related note: My Flickr account is being updated more than this blog now, I think.  A pair of going away parties, a lot of celebrations for a birthday, and random other things. ^__^ At least I’m putting that new camera to good use after Frankie 95.]

It was the Best of Times, It Was the Worst of Times

So my +5 Bag of Holding broke when I was picking up dinner for me and my mom.  (Mmmm, lemon chicken. . .)

These two pieces aren't supposed to be separate

Usually, I bring a load or two of laundry and my laptop when I go over to my mom’s place, but I kinda didn’t this time.  Mostly because I already stopped by and did some laundry Tuesday night.  We sat and talked for a while, then my mom told me to look in the backyard.

Oh, hello there!

Of course, since I didn’t bring everything along, I didn’t have my camera with me.  But, as luck would have it, I did bring along some tasty lemonade in nice glass bottles.

Mmm, that was tasty!

So, I clipped one each of the Moonlit Masquerade and Jovial lilies, along with some of my traditional orange and brought them home to take photos of them.  ^___^
